Selecting Sections - Telescopic modelsUpdated 5 months ago

When replacing LEKI sections there are a few things you will need to know and by using the filters you should be able to find what you need.  If you have a Nordic Walking pole and are unsure if it is a Standard or Ultralite model please email us a photo of the full pole including the handle and let us know approximately how old it is and we will help direct you to the correct section.

  • Lower or Middle - Most telescopic poles are made up of three parts, the top section (which can't be replaced but replacement grips/handles are available), the middle section and the lower section.  If your pole only has two parts you have a top section and a lower section.
  • Standard or Ultralight - If your poles have Titanium, Ultralight or Lite in their name or are made of carbon, that identifies the pole as an ultralight model.  Ladies models such as the Cressida are also Ultralight.                                                                                                                                      If you have an SLS or ELSlocking system:

Standard - the top expander will be black and the lower expander will be blue.

Ultralight - the top expander will be blue and the lower section will be green.

  • Aluminium or Carbon - If you need to replace two lower or two middle sections you could replace Carbon with Aluminium to keep the cost down.
  • Length - As you will see on the images we measure the length from the top of the lock to the bottom of the tip.
  • Colour - If the correct colour isn't available for your pole if the other information is the same you can replace sections with a different colour.
  • Locking System - Further information is available in Locking System Parts - Telescopic below.  If you have one of the Speedlock models any Speedlock lower section will work as the lock is at the bottom of the middle section.

You should now be able to use the filters on our Sections page to narrow down your search.  Not all sections will be available but you should be able to find a close alternative.  I.E.  If the correct length isn't available and you don't extend your pole to the maximum you could use a slightly shorter section.  You can also use a slightly longer section but please be aware that the pole may not collapse fully.

All sections (other than Classic lock) will be supplied complete with any locking system parts that are attached including expanders, locking levers and end sleeves. Lower sections are supplied complete with the Carbide Flextip, but without the basket which can be removed from the old section if available. New baskets can be purchased here.
