This is the most asked question we get when people are unsure about the spare parts they need to order. The difference between a Standard pole and an Ultralight pole is in the diameter of the sections used.

There is only a 2mm difference between the two diameters of poles, but this makes a significant difference with the sizes of parts required.

If you are not sure if your pole is Standard or Ultralight, any pole that has Titanium or Ultralight or any name ending in Lite is an Ultralight pole.

If you have an SLS locking model:

Standard - the top expander will be black and the lower expander will be blue.

Ultralight - the top expander will be blue and the lower section will be green.
