How do I care for my poles?Updated 5 months ago

TELESCOPIC

LEKI telescopic poles will remain your reliable companion for many years if you look after them.

If the pole sections are dirty – or if you have been walking near the coast, in salty sea air - just wipe with a dry cloth. Please do not use any lubricants, oils or fats. Worn parts should be replaced from time to time depending on their condition.

After use, it is advisable to pull the pole apart into its individual segments and let it dry. This means that no oxidation layer forms on the inside of the pole sections. After assembly, your LEKI telescopic poles are ready for use again.

FOLDING

Your LEKI folding poles will remain your reliable companion for many years if you follow our care instructions.

If the poles get dirty or wet, extend the folding poles after use, set them to the maximum length (in the case of Vario models) and then wipe the entire pole with a dry cloth.

Your folding poles should then be folded and stored in a dry environment. Maintenance is essential to prevent dirt and dust from getting into the individual segments of the folding pole; this can impair the function during assembly, dismantling and use and damage the segments.
